As a Test Automation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design and develop automated tests using a variety of innovative tools and frameworks. You will work closely with Development and Product Management to build and execute automated test scenarios against the Workday Time Management Application. Automated testing is a crucial aspect of our SaaS model and your contributions will directly impact the quality of the Workday product. The automated tests you develop will run as part of our continuous development environment, providing product quality feedback to Development and QA.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of automated testing efforts for the Time Management application
• Research and investigate new automation technologies
• Develop, execute, and debug automated functional tests for Workday applications
• Work closely with development and functional QA teams
• Work closely with environments team to ensure efficient and stable builds
• Diagnose functional issues, report bugs, and take ownership of issue resolution
• Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
• Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans. Analyses and writes test standards and procedures.
• Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Analyses test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
• Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
• Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
• Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
• Train and mentor other team members on an ad hoc basis

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years in Test Development and/or Test Automation roles
• Strong knowledge and understanding of SDLC and concepts
• Experience with and understanding of OO concepts and programming languages such as Java, XML, C++ and C#
• Strong XML and web application technology experience
• Experience testing web services with tools such as SoapUI
• Experience with one or more of the following: JUnit, Selenium RC, Webdriver, TestNG, Bamboo, TeamCity, Jenkins, JMeter, LoadRunner, QTP, WinRunner, SilkTest
• Working knowledge of QA methodology, testing techniques and approaches
• Proven experience with delivering high quality software products within a full development lifecycle.
