As part of our growing IT Asset Management (ITAM) team, you will be responsible for regional administration of assets using your skills in IT procurement, stock management, deployment, and vendor relations. Your contributions will help us streamline asset acquisition practices across the globe while ensuring attention is paid to the special requirements of each Twitter office. Successful candidates will possess knowledge in IT supply chains, import and tax requirements, distribution of hardware to remote employees, and have experience working alongside IT service management and finance teams to bring formality and organization to asset deployment procedures. 

The Position

This position is the main subject matter expert for endpoint acquisition and distribution in the EMEA region. The Asset Administrator will manage current and future stock, accept and review incoming requests for hardware assets, manage purchase orders, check purchases against available budget, oversee the routing of approvals, and monitor shipments of assets between 3rd party vendors and Twitter employees.

• Work closely with IT vendors, customers and partner teams (Hardware Asset Management, Help Desk, etc) to assure asset transactions happen as planned
• Proactively manage regional asset requests, procurements, fulfillments and deployments via ITAM tickets
• Develop solutions when documented processes do not meet new requirements within Twitter’s growing environment
• Troubleshoot when assets are running late, supply chain is limited, or when the IT Help Desk requires solutioning for asset acquisition
• Exercise your knowledge of asset receiving, data verifications, lifecycle tracking, and supply chain management and communication guidelines, projections and issues in written and graphical formal
• Analyze and report monthly on the asset burn-through, including pulling and verifying records, tracking spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and assisting IT management in long term forecasting
• Communicate actuals against projections (deployment, financials, vendor turn around, OLAs, etc) in visual and numerical reports on a monthly basis
• Act as the point of contact as needed for IT vendors, subcontractors and 3rd party providers
• Oversee Cycle Count inventory to ensure accuracy of actuals against records and deployments. Investigate deltas and post reports using correct inventory management methodology
• Oversee, control, and evaluate stock rotation procedures; aligning purchase records with available stock, projected stock needs, and asset lifecycle requirements
• Create purchase orders and manage the procurement process end to end
• Maintain and evaluate inventory records on a quarterly basis, reporting on request trends, low stock warnings, and other KPIs as assigned
• Check bulk orders against purchase records to verify accuracy and quality after receipt.
• Process returned assets and prepare them for reuse/recycle, updating internal documents and databases (financial, helpdesk, inventory, etc) in a timely manner
• The position will oversee a small team of contractors, vendors and purchasers as the overall footprint of Twitter grows.

• 4 or more year(s) of experience IT Procurement, transactional best practices, purchase controls, and inventory management
• Experience tracking PRs and reporting spend over time
• Excellent written communications skills
• Experience communicating with IT vendors to validate timelines and delivery controls, develop operational agreements, and maintain supply chain availability despite challenges with import/export conditions
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Some heavy lifting may be required
