Project Manager M&A IT (MNO)

  • Represents NBS IT in the NTO Manufacturing Network Optimization transactions (Divestments, Site Development, Acquisitions, Closings) against Novartis Business and against NewCo (Buyer/Seller) to cover all IT related aspects
  • Manages the IT activities during all M&A phases, coordinating all involved NBS IT function to ensure M&A specific requirements are met in time and quality
  • Optimize use of available human, financial and service resources to provide highest possible business value, in the best interest of the organization.
  • Collaborates with the "buyer or seller" to ensure a smooth transition of sites, systems and services
  • Represents CTS TT in the assigned NTO Manufacturing Network Optimization projects (MNO) to cover all IT related aspects – this includes the following M&A scenarios:
    • Site Divestments;
    • Site Closures;
    • Site Development (partial divestments, onboarding new companies/tenants);
    • Site Acquisitions.
  • Takes overall responsibility to define, scope and manage the TT related activities NTO Manufacturing Network Optimization projects with the affected Global Business Functions, the local site and the involved CTS TT Functions.
  • Mobilize and manages the required TT team and resources to execute the TT part of the MNO projects
  • Involves and coaches the local TT project managers and the affected global TT application managers
  • Optimize use of available human, financial and service resources to provide highest possible business value, in the best interest of the organization.
  • Collaborates with the "buyer or vendor" to ensure a smooth transition of sites, systems and services
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scope (includes the OT / TOPAZ specifics)
  • Defines IT related timelines and milestones to achieve the overall timelines of Merger, Acquisition & Divestment projects
  • Tailored handover of CTS TT TOQ knowhow and related documentations (intellectual properties) to third party to support their set system set up and keep operation on going
  • System and data migration path for CTS TT systems in line with Book & Records regulations
  • Cancelation of services and revoking of user access rights to protect Novartis assets
  • May deviate from existing procedures to ensure success of the overall business transactions, in line with current guidelines and regulations
  • Ownership of project budgets
  • Keep confidential projects protected
  • University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, business or similar> 10 years of business/IT broad experience in a global Pharma company (including at least 3 years local site experience)
  • Leadership: demonstrated leaderships skills, >5 years proven management experience within a global matrix organization
  • Good knowledge of supply chain, planning/sourcing, manufacturing and quality processes from Pharmaceutical industry
  • Robust knowledge about current Novartis IT architecture (TIS, ERP) and good knowledge about TOQ IT applications
  • Strong knowledge about OT (Operation Technology) set up within Novartis (NTO) and related TOPAZ concept
  • Experience in M&A (divestments) activities as due diligence, TSA negotiation
  • Customer Orientation: ability to communicate & align with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Methodology: savvy in IT process, best practices & standards, e.g. ITIL, ICE, Agile
  • GxP / SOX: sound knowledge of validation practice and Financial and IT control standards
