Program & Project Management Associate Director

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Global Head of Programs, Projects & Operations, the Program & Project Management Associate Director is an integral role in ensuring delivery and quality excellence in the Creative & Digital team, with a focus on shaping, leading and delivering complex programs and projects.

Creative & Digital is a full service Digital Marketing Agency supporting all divisions across Novartis. We are a global business, with 150+ associates based in Ireland, US, UK, Germany, India and Mexico. We support our clients from campaign strategy, messaging and innovative design and digital solutions right through to deployment directly into channel. As an internal organization we seek to drive value for our customers, coordinating across the network, to support the Novartis mission to improve patients’ lives. 

This role will shape, lead, implement and operationalize complex programs and projects integral to the successful development of our Digital Marketing Agency. They will leverage strong program management expertise to succeed in a matrixed environment across locations, business and technology functions, and internal and external stakeholders. The role will drive service delivery and integration, service quality, operational excellence and collaboration across teams and locations, leading program/project teams of associates and third party vendors, including managers. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Lead the delivery of Digital Marketing strategic or large programs and projects through ideation and bid response, active leadership and visioning, planning, implementation and governance, partner and communication management, to ensure they meet time, cost and quality requirements
• Plan, mobilize and lead cross-functional program teams across divisions and geographical boundaries, including management of resource phasing and organization, role responsibilities and establishing a robust team and ways of working
• Define and implement program and change governance, performance dashboards and end to end life cycle documentation and reporting, demonstrating appropriate use of program/project management methods and tools
• Develop and lead Program & Project Management capability and practices, ensuring effective collaboration, engagement and customer outcomes:
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability, being purpose-led, with a drive for quality excellence and great customer satisfaction outcomes, while ensuring regulatory and compliance processes are adhered to
• Work with the Global Head of Program/Project Management & Operations, and Regional/Team Leads to refine and implement Program/Project Management business plans 

• 12+ years’ experience in a project/program management environment   
• Experience as a change agent with project and program management experience from a global digital marketing agency and/or Top 5 consulting firm, having complex, multi-functional projects in a large      corporate environment    
• Experience delivering creative and digital programs and projects across complex matrix organizations   
• Experience in senior stakeholder management, communication and influencing, with a proven ability to manage complex change, get straight to the heart of issues and use evidence-based insights to  inform business decisions   
• Experience within a leading Pharmaceutical/FMCG company or service provider/agency a plus   
• Experience in development and implementation of Digital strategy a plus
