Role Purpose :

The Networks Capacity Specialist is responsible for Network Capacity Innovation in the Vodafone Network. This role will have a strong emphasis on Capacity Optimisation of the Radio Access Technologies GSM/UMTS/LTE/NR.  Ability to analyse the dependencies of Radio Access Networks with other Domains (Transmission, Core & IP) & being able to lead Network Capacity Projects and Programs is a key requirement of the role. Understanding of Fixed Network Performance to provide Converged view of the network is also key to the role
 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver Vodafone Networks, Strategic Capacity Analysis Projects 
  • System Capacity Modelling through Data Analytics
  • Fixed Network Performance Analysis
  • New technologies introduction – Data Source Modelling 
  • To drive E2E Capacity Optimisation Projects across the Network
  • Capacity Management – Data Analytics/Forecasting
  • Vendor Management / Technical Point of Contact.
     

We Are Looking For You, If You Have:

Essential

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Mobile Networks Capacity/Optimsation/Performance Role.
  • Experience of Converged Network Data Sources – Probes, PM Counters, Crowd Source Data
  • Experience of Converged Networks Infrastructure  
  • 3rd Level degree in Engineering or similar
  • Good knowledge of all existing & emerging technologies deployed in converged networks.
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics/Data Science Methodologies.
  • Project Management/Vendor Management.

Desirable

  • Ability to cooperate/collaborate with multiple teams and other departments
  • Comfortable in the management of complex technical matters
  • Strong demonstrable leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is vital
  • Must have the ability to ask searching insightful questions and persist until a clear answer is obtained
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and technical presentation skills.
