IP Operations & Security Manager

About this role

This role will involve working with our customers leading edge Mobile, IP and Security networks.  Enabling our customer to be a market leader for services in Ireland.

You'll be responsible for managing a team of highly skilled 2nd and 3rd level engineers that support, maintain and delivery projects for Core and IP networks for one of our high profile managed service customers in Ireland.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Organises delivery of agreed work streams and/or key performance indicators and service level agreements for their customer base within their functional remit.
  • Monitors customer service programme costs and budget, identifies opportunities for cost saving to impact on financial performance and improvements to customer experience (i.e. net promoter score).
  • Reviews resource utilisation and performance metrics across the team, and adjusts resourcing accordingly, to ensure ability to meet customer contractual demands.
  • Coordinates a team to provide high quality service enablement outputs in support of customer contract.

Skills:

  • Change Management & Improvement Focus - You coach and empower teams to anticipate and analyse obstacles in work processes. You support them to develop solutions and implement ways to improve processes and make things more efficient.
  • Issue Management - You conduct a deep review of data and issues to quickly reveal the root cause. You recommend short and long-term solutions to complex problems and follow through to make sure we solve them
  • Overview of layer 1, 2 & 3 networks - you'll need a strong level of technical knowledge to understand what the team are working on, however not necessarily the detailed knowledge of how they do it
  • Network Security and firewalls
  • Experience of Network vendors for example Juniper, Cisco, Sandvine or F5

Experience:

  • Strong operational experience in a complex environment
  • Ability to manage and influence customer
  • Its anticipated that you will have previous experience of managing a team
