HR Absence Advisor, HR

t’s an unfortunate part of life that people become unwell. Sometimes people can’t work for a day or two….sometimes it’s a much longer road back. Sometimes it becomes impossible to return.

At AIB we are committed to Wellbeing and this means supporting our employees all the time. We are looking for a HR Advisor to join our HR Direct / Absence team and help individuals, and their People Leaders, when these occasions arise.

You will navigate the employee and the People Leader through the process in an empathetic and professional manner providing timely updates to everyone as the need arises.

You will be an experienced HR professional with at least 2 years in a role providing information, advice and transactional processing support across the full range of HR activities. You will be exceptional at stakeholder management.

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Provide timely, expert advice and support to management and staff on all aspects of the Absence Management policy
  • Provide timely communications to all of your stakeholders by appropriate communications channels
  • Effectively manage the varied, occasionally complex sensitive cases, engaging with all parties to achieve a safe and timely return to work
  • Liaise with the Bank’s Occupational Health Advisors in terms of referrals and occupational health reports on key decisions

Who are we?

We’re AIB. A strong Irish bank packed with purpose - to back our customers to achieve their dreams and ambitions. That goes for our employees too. We’re made of small teams where you have the chance to shine.

Why join us?

We are excited about how we have changed our focus. We want to be at the heart of our customers’ financial lives by giving them an exceptional experience. We are building a culture that breaks the conventions of what our customer and employees expect of a bank.

  2. Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to listen and guide people through complex scenarios
  3. High degree of motivation and strong results orientation with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
