My client is a large Corporate firm based out near Dublin Airport and they are looking for a Cisco Network Engineer on a permanent basis. The team are looking for someone ideally with 3-5+ years exp.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design and implementation of major network solutions for a global organisation.
- Installation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of LAN and WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, Voice/ VOIP, Cisco Switches and Routers, VPN/ Access Points, Firewalls.
- Must provide 2nd and 3rd level support to production Support
- Network interfaces – LAN/WAN technology
- Manage and maintain the BGP Lan/ WAN.
- Wireless network configuration and management.
- Help participate in global support on-call rotation for the company
Experience Required
- Circa 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar Network Engineer position
- Strong experience using Cisco solutions (e.g Cisco ASA Firewall, Cisco Voice, etc)
- Experience working for a multinational organisation is a distinct advantage
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Excellent Network expertise which includes: Routing, Switching, VLAN, SDWAN, CLI Configuration, VOIP, VPN, MPLS, etc.
- Solid experience in routing protocols.
- Strong knowledge across Cisco, Riverbed and/or F5 technologies.
- Good understanding of the networking components of Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, etc).
- Ability to manage large scale network projects and recover major network outages.
- Full clean driving licence would be desirable, but not essential.
Educational Requirements
- Degree in IT or related field
- CCNP or CCNA certified.
