The Role

Sogeti Ireland are looking for a Test Lead/Knowledge Transfer Lead with 5+ years’ experience in testing across differing SDLC models, platforms and architectures.

What experience do I need?

The candidates should have experience of working within testing teams, some experience of leading testing teams, experience of one or more testing methodologies and exposure to different software development lifecycles including Agile and Waterfall.

• A minimum of 5 year’s software testing experience on IT projects
• Proven experience of the testing life cycle especially …
  • Test Planning (incl. experience of contributing to Test Strategies)
  • Test Case development (incl. experience of applying Test Techniques)
  • Test Execution
  • Test Reporting (incl. experience of representing the Test Team in status meetings)
  • Full understanding of mapping requirements to tests (Traceability)
  • Excellent understanding of Test Metrics and their application
  • Proven experience in managing triage/defect meetings
  • Experience of tracking Test Progress throughout projects and ability to report on same to project Stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience of Test Infrastructure and its relevance to test projects
  • Ability to act as a mentor to junior test team members
  • Mobile testing experience
  • Experience of using Test Management and Issue Management systems
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A third level qualification in computing, engineering or science with significant computing content
  • ISTQB qualification
  • Previous consultancy experience desirable

Operational and practical experience of application testing including knowledge of

• The Test Life Cycle (Planning, Preparation, Specification, Execution, Completion)
• Test Management tools e.g. JIRA, Micro Focus ALM
• Knowledge of Test Automation tools e.g. Selenium, Appium, UFT, Tosca
• Knowledge of Test Performance tools e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner/StormRunner Load
• Leadership and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Project Management skills
• Strong stakeholder management
• Project financial awareness
