Test and Quality Lead

Job Summary

Zurich Insurance is looking for a Test & Quality Lead to work in a wider project team on the end to end testing of complex software solutions. You will lead the end to end testing of the smaller business critical software enhancements and be proactive in the development of the Test Team capabilities with Zurich Ireland.
 

Your Role

As a Test & Quality Lead your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

Designing, analyzing and constructing business specific end to end scenarios, defining standards for the development of test scripts, deployment and reuse.

Acting as the key point of contact for all Testing aspects of releases and coordinating Testing resources internally and externally.

Leading and mentoring QA team members.

Uncovering opportunities for automating manual tests and processes.

Building and automating regression and acceptance test scenarios

Take overall accountability for project test delivery plan (Static Testing, SIT, UAT) 

Reviewing the test coverage and test cases produced by Test Analysts

Conduct walkthroughs with respective Business Stakeholders.

Tracking, control and resolution of testing issues and queries.

Executes test cases as per the agreed testing plan, log and retest defects as necessary using the appropriate test tools.

Assists with Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting of defects.

Chairs and participates in defect triage meetings and provide updates.

Producing all test status and summary reports.

Signing-off completed test runs/cycles.

Work with other Test Managers to ensure sharing of experiences, best practices and lessons learnt. 

Upskill team members and business partners on testing tools and standards so that these can be used efficiently during the test preparation and execution phases ensuring all Testing collateral meets the required standards

As a Test & Quality Lead your skills and qualifications will include: 

  • 3-5 Years software testing experience throughout all phases of a software testing cycle
  • Experience working with Python, Groovy, or other scripting languages
  • UI / API automation experience using an industry standard tool (Selenium, Cypress)
  • Experience/Exposure to Visual Basic for Applications (VBA Programming).
  • Experience/Exposure in/to test management, project management and software development tools including Jira and Git.
  • Agile experience and understanding the QA role within the continuous delivery model
  • Experience in defining test plans and creating test summary reports
  • Formal qualification in Software Testing, would be an advantage
  • General Insurance industry knowledge, would be an advantage
  • Experience in software testing in iSeries environment would be an advantage
  • Experience with working with offshore colleagues, would be an advantage
