Salesforce is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead transformational Infrastructure, Security, Office, and/or Technology Refresh projects as part of the Business Technology Enterprise Technology Services Team.  

 

OVERVIEW

As a Technical Project Manager for Infrastructure and Security projects, you will be part of a dynamic, global team building and supporting shared infrastructure and services to meet the operational needs of our internal and external customers.  In this role, you will work closely with the Business Technology (BT) Enterprise Technology Services group, BT Product & Engineering Teams, BT Architecture, Enterprise Security, Operations/Support Teams, and other internal and external partners to manage strategic projects from initiation through to delivery.   

 

This seasoned IT professional will have a solid technical background and significant experience with IT Infrastructure, Security technologies, as well as with Public/Private Cloud services. This role will require working knowledge in agile development and delivery methodologies to lead various project teams through cross-functional implementations under tight timelines.

With strong emotional intelligence and high conflict resolution skills, you will rally the cross-functional teams that sometimes span multiple time zones and hold the teams and individuals accountable for timelines and deliverables. You will provide hands-on management of projects and proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans to keep them on track.

 

YOUR IMPACT

Leads Executive Stakeholders and project leads in scope/schedule alignment and drives mitigation of issues and risks to meet high impact business opportunities.

Effectively coaches teams in industry-leading practices for project scope and schedule management.

Removes blockers and mitigates project risks maximizing team productivity and ensuring on-time delivery.

Balance business needs with the technical constraints, drive creative solution discussions, and negotiate trade-offs as needed.

Provide leadership and guidance to team members and drive delivery alignment practices across teams.

Cultivate effective, trusted working relationships with matrix teams located globally across time-zones.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED 

Direct, hands-on experience in technical program management. 

BS/BA Degree in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.

In-depth knowledge of Agile delivery and/or Scrum Project Management methodologies.

Successfully led infrastructure and/or security enterprise programs.

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, confident communicator with the ability to present complex issues and solutions in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level executives  

Ability to drive work independently, identifying solutions, and moving them to implementation.

Develops, maintains, and strengthens partnerships with others inside and outside the project team who provide decision-making, information, or support.

Achieves positive outcomes by identifying common interests, clarifying differences, and achieving consensus or compromise.

Communicates a clear, vivid, and relevant description or picture of project benefits/value to the customer.

Works to improve and reinforce performance in others; facilitates their skill development by providing clear, specific performance feedback, and making or eliciting suggestions for solutions/performance improvement.

Customer-focused; Know how to balance your "get it done" attitude with diplomacy to be able to work effectively across different teams and at all levels.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS DESIRED 

Salesforce platform, Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), IAAS, and underlying technology experience  

Experience in Internet Technologies, Relational databases, internet/networking-related protocols. 

Active Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Agile Certified Practitioner certification
