Technical Program Manager

Salesforce is looking for a self-motivated person to join its IT Department as a TPM to drive technology of Business Technology assets in our dominantly Systems fleet. The candidate will need experience in Security Management, Program Management with large Systems environments (70,000+) whose responsibilities include but are not limited to:  the person will collaborate, guide engineers, analyze data, compile reporting metrics, present insights to executive leadership but won't be doing any hands-on remediation work. Also to maintain security and patch levels by collaborating with respective parties to keep them compliant. Escalate and raise hands when there is any security issue in the environment and engage the right parties to help in the remediation process.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the critical security vulnerabilities reports daily and work with the cross-functional teams on the remediation.
  • Analyze security vulnerabilities data, find and report trends and patterns.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and engineers to architect and develop the best technical and operational design and approach, delivering value quickly to customers
  • Provide regular transparency to program status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties).
  • Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent teams from remediating the vulnerabilities
  • Develop strong partnerships with functional leaders to drive focus on vulnerability objectives. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure team success.
  • Daily critical vulnerability reporting.
  • Pick up, evaluate and route escalations & questions via multiple channels.
  • Interface with the internal business partner teams to build a relationship and get the vulnerabilities remediation done.
  • Take and distribute meeting notes, actively reply to emails, chat messages, keep team members and relevant people and teams informed.
  • Participate in the team discussions and provide your feedback and share your experience.
  • Help create and update policies and procedures to help scale the vulnerability management program.
  • Develop, recommend, and operationalize a remediation plan.
  • Be a thought leader within the organization, someone who can help advance our security strategy globally and challenge others to move beyond the current state.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience working in the field of computer security and risk management or 7 - 10+ years of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience
  • Understanding of threat modeling, scanning and patching.
  • Ability to understand a wide array of technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, analysis, communication and Presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative, and robust technical solutions
  • Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
  • Excellent organization and multi-workstream skills.
  • Ability to manage/juggle competing priorities without loss of efficiency.
  • Strong written, verbal and data visualization communication and presentation skills with the ability to tailor to a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members using polished written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with all functions across the entire company.
  • Strong data analytics skills. Gain actionable insights from data and work on the next steps.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP in Excel and Google.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage ambiguity.
  • Hold self-accountability and deliver results in a face-paced environment. Be comfortable and able to quickly pivot to changing processes, guidelines, and data sets.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively remotely with people and teams in various time zones.
  • Experience writing process documentation and process flows.
  • Knowledge in security vulnerability management for servers and client endpoint environments.
  • Knowledge in the servers or client endpoint management environment.
  • Should have a decent understanding of Servers, Clients, development runtimes like Java, etc.
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform is a big plus.
  • Experience working with large data sets to drive changes in long term trends.
