About the role 

As Technical Product Manager for Treasury & FX, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end execution of FX related products and solutions. This role is a global role and you will work with teams across multiple timezones to help Zai become a global leader in financial services across all the markets we operate in. You will work across the organisation to build product features, understand customer use cases, help Zai grow its global footprint, actively reduce costs and increase revenue related to the FX product line. You are the go-to person for how Zai’s FX products function, interact and connect with Zai’s other products and services. You’ll work closely with customers, as well as our product & technology teams to design and build our FX and treasury solutions. You’ll be paired with engineering teams in Ireland and India and collaborate with our global engineering teams in Hong Kong and Melbourne.

 The ideal Product Manager has led technical teams before, especially on complex or large scale platforms servicing a global customer base. You have extreme attention to detail and communicate complex concepts clearly and simply. You want to see our customers and business succeed through building products that are elegant, beautiful and robust.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the end-to-end success of our FX & Treasury products across multiple geographies.
  • Convert Business cases and business requirements into technical requirements & user stories.
  • Build and grow a geographically dispersed team of product owners who work across multiple time zones.
  • Develop relationships with our existing partners and identify new partners and opportunities to grow and expand our FX product. 
  • Work closely with the Regional Product Managers & Technology teams to understand capabilities, and define, refine and grow our FX products across the globe.
  • Be a partner to our payments and treasury teams in ensuring they have the tools and solutions to scale their operations as the breadth and depth of our FX product line expands.
  • Co-own & execute technical debt along with Technology teams.
  • Work closely with the Regional Product Managers and Marketing team to ensure holistic launch of FX products and solutions.
  • Execute quarterly and annual roadmaps covering Business & Operational needs as well as technical debt, break-fix, customer requests and backlog items.
  • Ensure scalable knowledge management practices within the team by using and promoting scalable tools like Jira, Confluence and others.
  • Be an expert in FX solutions - from B2C and B2B FX solutions through to complex hedging instruments which provide large enterprises the tools to manage their financial risk, you understand the need to develop solutions that cover all types of customer needs when it comes to FX.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Manager in FX and Treasury
  • You have built APIs, products, and complex systems at scale.
  • Experience working on a large scale platforms or infrastructure.
  • A computing, math, or science degree or software engineering experience.
  • Experience in scrum and agile methodologies.
  • You’re a creative product thinker who loves collaborating across the company with technology, sales, operations, design and marketing.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems.
  • You have experience managing complex technical products from idea to shipping.

  • Strong knowledge of FX - you understand the different customer needs in an FX context and how those needs translate into technical solutions.
  • You understand the challenges surrounding FX including hedging, cash and exposure management and understand how these elements interact to drive revenue to our business.
  • You do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful whether that means writing a QA plan or hunting down the root cause of a user’s frustration.
  • Beyond releasing new products, you obsess about continuous product improvement and manage releases across our customer segments and portfolios.
