The Salesforce Systems Security team is currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Leader who is passionate about Systems Security & Management with a laser focus on DevOps & Automation to help secure the world’s #1 CRM platform and infrastructure. As leader in the SysSec team, your team will be responsible for designing, building, deploying and maintaining security services in both first and third party environments as well as recommending optimizations for existing SysSec owned services at a cloud scale. Our Security DevOps Team team builds and operates a wide range of environments that comprise Salesforce’s large portfolio of services. Our engineers work across a wide range spectrum of technologies, ranging from open-source to Commercial tools & platforms, and multiple cloud substrates (AWS, GCP, etc).

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will:
Lead and inspire a team of strong DevOps Engineers within the SysSec Organisation from our Dublin office. Deliver automation of security service operations & delivery, drive change, think independently, communicate clearly, and provide recommendations for process, service and automation initiatives on 1st Party and Cloud environments.
Take us to the next level of the SysSec Program For Change. Contribute to the direction, build technical specifications, drive the future of automation and tooling, so we can offer standard services across all of Salesforce’s enterprise teams.
Exercise influence to drive action and design cloud scale solutions with cross-functional teams in the Systems Security arena.
In conjunction with multiple engineering teams, you will work with your team members to design/architect, test, deploy and operate our Security Services. You will partner with other business units, to deliver enterprise wide solutions for Salesforce. Ensure audit & compliance controls are built in, reviewing security configuration, and architecture.
Serve as a trusted advisor to management in the implementation & completion of SysSec programs.
Participate in a periodic escalation level 24x7 on-call rotation.
Ability to motivate people, instil accountability and achieve results
Ability to oversee multiple complex project deliveries in parallel

Required Skills/Experience:
Forward thinking, dynamic self-starter with experience managing or technically leading a team of Security Engineers . (preferably Devops Engineers).
Excellent English communication skills - written and oral.
BS/BEng/BTech degree, or equivalent work experience.
Experience in multi-tiered mission-critical systems, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong background with development life cycles (SDLC) , Agile Methodologies, influencing & motivating engineers.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of Operating Systems e.g. Linux/Windows.
Proven experience in a high-availability 24x7x365 environment with highly structured change management.
Strong technical understanding of systems, network and identity fundamentals.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of Operating Systems & Automation/scripting languages e.g.: Python, Terraform, Spinnaker, JSON, Java, Puppet, etc
Security specific certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.)
Proven experience leading hybrid engineering teams through technically demanding software development projects, ideally in cloud or distributed computing environments.
1+ years experience as a scrum master of one or more large, fast-paced and dynamic engineering teams
