Software Tester

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Tester to join our team, working across major client projects and internal products. The candidate will need to have several years in a similar role. Key focuses on this role will be to document and plan test procedures to ensure releases made to the clients are always of the highest quality. A successful candidate will rely on their attention to detail and communication skills to ensure issues discovered are understood and resolved in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage defects throughout SDLC by executing tests at both a functional and non-functional level across multiple projects
  • Ensure quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved in our tracking system
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Work with the project manager to identify the required level of testing for each release
  • Final approval of releases for client use
  • Manage and grow business regression suites
  • Track QA related metrics and provide progress updates to project management
  • Work closely with project teams to create and maintain detailed, effective test plans
  • Correctly estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Ensure own work meets QA standards and processes and is executed consistently
  • Participate in quality driven activities with clients, as needed, supporting the User Acceptance Testing phases of projects

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant QA experience with strong understanding of software testing techniques and processes, including test case development and execution
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using test management tools i.e. TFS, JIRA
  • Can identify, report, and manage QA related risks
  • Collaborative team player who is adept at developing internal and external relationships
  • Strong organisational and task management skills
  • Capacity to manage priorities and deadlines; capacity to work in a rapidly growing environment
  • Ability to receive and understand direction, ask questions when appropriate, and manage time to work effectively and independently

Nice to Have:

  • ISTQB certification or related qualifications
  • Experience working with and maintaining automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
  • Ability to automate functional UI and API tests
  • Able to define, communicate and implement process improvements
