>LEAD the team and provide clear direction
>CONTRIBUTE to technical decisions / strategy / Roadmap
>SHAPE the team. Ensuring that the setup makes best use of available resources and enhances the quality and speed of delivery. Directly involved in recruiting.
>COLLABORATE with colleagues in Product Management and Software Architecture
>EDUCATE, coach and develop the engineers (and encourage self-learning)
>IMPROVE software engineering practices and processes. Ensuring DevOps methods (CI/CD pipelines etc) are employed to deliver in an agile environment.
>SUPPORT with hands-on coding when needs-be
The Software Engineering Manager will need 5+ years' experience in a senior technical management role. You will be a seasoned software professional that has climbed the ranks in the industry. As well as great management and people skills; you will be technical, with fluency in commonly used design patterns and can constructively review code. You will have strong knowledge of agile software development (DevOps / CICD). 'Nice to haves' include: hands on experience with Java / Kubernetes / AWS / React.
