Senior Project Manager

As our Senior Project Manager within the iHub team, you will play a key role in driving innovative projects across our Business and Technology groups in Ireland. Working closely alongside the Director of Technical Programme Management, you will be a key orchestrator in implementing the vision of establishing Optum’s Ireland Office as a Technology and Innovation Hub. Specifically, your focus will be to assist in the continued implementation and development of the iHub operating model, ensuring the successful delivery of critical projects and the continued success of the Optum Tech Division and the Innovation Hub.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead or help develop program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program / project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document)
  • Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution
  • Reporting progress/metrics for iHub products
  • Collect, analyze and maintain financial forecast information (e.g., labor, hardware, software), using input from applicable sources
  • Lead strategic initiatives across various units of the business from cradle to grave
  • Develop and maintain project plans, tasks, deliverables, dependencies and resource requirements
  • Establish / apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with stakeholder input (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition)
  • Develop, communicate and implement program / project risk / issue management plans and strategies (e.g., mitigation, avoidance, transfer, acceptance)
  • Lead coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas
  • Monitor and control projects ensuring efficient utilisation of project resources
  • Participate and promote the use of lean and continuous improvement tools
  • Significant project management and delivery experience
  • Proven experience translating business requirements into project deliverables
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently to competing deadlines
  • Experience in operationalising projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven change management and/or operational readiness experience
  • Project Management qualification(s)
  • Past success in driving innovation across a function/enterprise
