As a Senior Product Manager, you will have a mandate for change and run of a large and complex product domain, driving product strategy, roadmap and execution for that by leading a team of talented Product Owners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Have accountability for a very large and complex product domain, and drive product strategy, roadmap and execution for that by leading a large team of talented Product Owners. 

Utilising deep functional expertise for strategic portfolio planning, delivery of products (including ideate, design, build, test and deploy), and management of live products. 

Translating business plans, product roadmaps and technology strategy into delivery roadmaps and developing and training the team to meet the needs of these priorities 

Leading the transformation to a product-based, agile at scale delivery model, establishing and maintaining cross-functional delivery teams and utilising DevOps and Agile practices 

Iteratively improving the customer experience, adapting to new insights and working with your cross functional team and stakeholders to define next steps. 

Working with the team and peers to develop shared, ambitious OKRs and hold ourselves accountable to these 

Matching demand with supply constraints (financial, people and skills, commercial) and identifying key dependencies, overlaps, conflicts and gaps 

Tracking both effort and value delivery identifying opportunities for cost reduction, using this insight to inform prioritisation of opportunities for the product area and maximise value realisation for the customer 

Responsible for managing costs associated with implications of risks/issues, involving stakeholders and managing budget variation as appropriate within the product area 

Driving Quarterly Business Planning objectives and releases content via prioritised features and enablers 

Proactively partnering with my peers and director-level business stakeholders to set the future direction of my product as part of the wider business strategy. 

Contributing to capability and capacity planning for Product Management to provide clarity and stability. 

Supporting end-to-end delivery by maintaining a 90-day product roadmap, as well as a prioritised and estimated Full Year backlog 

Relentlessly seeking to understand the needs and pains of customers and senior business stakeholder and is accountable for change adoption. 

Coordinate and report post-launch and ongoing evaluation to validate that products work for customers or colleagues as designed, gauge user sentiment and ensure that value is delivered 

Collaborating with other product teams and partners to launch new product features 

Help identify necessary and/or desirable third-party technology to evaluate and select vendors 

Monitoring relevant industry trends and engage both internal and external teams as appropriate to build shared insight 

Participate in 'on call' rota and fulfil requirements and demands as appropriate

Skills & Experiences:

10+ years experience in IT Portfolio Management, Product Management or IT Transformation Delivery at enterprise level, preferably in an agile at scale environment 

Experience of owning and managing senior business stakeholder relationships 

An appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experience

Influencer: strong ability to lead, inspire, engage and coach a diverse team and create an inclusive culture across geographical boundaries 

People leadership: A people leader who role models through their own behaviour and actions, embedding change by inspiring, coaching, holding themself and others to account and setting the right inclusive culture for team and partners 

Able to define, capture and break down into hierarchies the value-based outcomes that portfolios of accountability are constructed against, and from which work is prioritised and managed, utilising online tooling 

Have an understanding of Agile delivery and modern engineering team practices 

Knowledge of technical product development principles and methodologies 

Have the ability to translate business goals, technology strategy and market knowledge into a product roadmap that prioritises delivery of value and enables future business agility 

Anticipate risks and opportunities, responding to escalations at pace and coaching others to find solutions based on your expertise 

Have the ability to switch between strategic visioning and getting into the detail, being the authority in all aspects of your product 

Have Awareness of existing and future technology stacks/interfaces for the product and how to develop these so they work seamlessly for customers and colleagues
