About the Role
This is a highly collaborative role with customers, Analytics teams and functional area leads across the Workday Spend organisation. We are looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager with strategic vision and a proven track record of successfully delivering products to market.
Product Managers at Workday are involved in all aspects of the product life cycle. They understand our customers' needs through data-driven research, and customer engagement, design features that solve those needs, and evangelise changes to both internal and external audiences, all while collaborating with engineers to deliver an outstanding end-product
- Drive strategic initiatives within the Spend pillar. Develop, Maintain and Evangelise the rolling 12 month roadmap.
- Incorporate dependencies between Spend functional areas, platform and other Workday pillars, and tools to ensure alignment.
- Develop customer relationships and use feedback mechanisms to understand and prioritize customer problems and gather functional requirements.
- Maintain a feedback loop to adapt and make changes as they arise. Alter plans, refine designs and re-aligning engineering and UX as needed.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers and researchers, gather customer feedback to validate product assumptions
- Manage initiative, epic and story level direction. Partner with engineering on plans that drive towards continuous delivery as well as R1/R2 delivery.
- Work with engineering and QA teams through design, testing and product release
- Ensure cross-functional teams from documentation through support are enabled for every customer facing change
- Ensure sales and marketing are enabled for major changes that affect SKU’s, brand or marketing announcements
- 5+ years product management and relevant work experience
- Experience engaging with customers, navigating several sources of feedback, and understanding the root cause of product inputs
- Well organised with a proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to adjust to different perspectives and people of varied technical ability
- Strong relationship building skills to develop alignment and motivate teams towards a common goal and timeline
- Collaborative and creative in solving problems, with a positive approach
- Proactive and self-motivated

- Spend Management experience beneficial across the Source to Pay flows (including Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, Stock-to-Replenish) with associated financial management concepts
