Senior IT Project Manager


Realtime Recruitment requires an experienced Senior Project Manager for an initial 6-month contract with a Financial Company in Ireland.
The vast majority of the role will be remote with a requirement to attend the office once or twice during the 6 months. Contract extensions are highly likely with this company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Use best practice governance methodology to manage and deliver change
  • Provide clear Leadership for the project teams by building & motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Accustomed to working with offshore teams in different countries and timezones
  • Stakeholder Management at various levels from tech teams to CTO
  • AGILE focused – delivery and coaching team members where required
  • Provide clear and concise status reporting regarding project planning, project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, budgets communicating appropriately across different levels in the organization
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence, all in a remote capacity
  • Utilising agile skills to coach other members of the team

 For this role you will have the following:

  • Proven track record managing complex IT projects to completion in the Financial Services industry, ideally certified in a PM Methodology
  • Proven experience delivering projects across different streams (cross functional / international teams) including business change and application development projects, on time and on budget meeting business needs
  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Strong financial management skills on projects
  • Experience reporting on project metrics / KPI's and analysing trends/taking action where required
  • Strong project management skills: status reporting, project planning, project milestones, dependencies, risks and issues, budgets and communication
  • Broad understanding of software development and web technologies
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Ability to drive decisions with key stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Experience in Agile / Scaled Agile with an ability to extend that knowledge to IT's delivery team
