Senior Certifications Analyst / QA Specialist

What is the purpose of this Role

To accelerate the market growth and to ensure fast and compliant “go to market” route for multiple partner payment solutions. Also to increase testing service efficiency through self-accreditation and partner self-service. This role is required to facilitate the certification process, test and support customer integrations with Elavon acquiring host. 

 

Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the certification process, tasked with supporting customer integrations with Elavon acquiring host.  He/she will operate as part of the wider IPS team, focused specifically on IPOS/PSP, eCommerce and associated card scheme mandated certifications.  

Main role of the successful candidate will be to manage payment solutions certification projects, provide support and consultation to the certification project stakeholders. The successful candidate should be able to manage card brand certification projects and focus on ensuring the quality and compliance required as part of self accreditation process. He/she will be tasked to monitor and evaluate the quality of work as measured against timeliness, accuracy, and productivity standards.  Document quality issues, performance measures, and quality improvements and provide reports and suggestions for improvement for management review.  Candidate will be responsible for ensuring a quality program for certifications through monitoring of certification activities. 

 

 Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Managing multiple projects efficiently and within agreed timelines; 
  • Being able to work under pressure and react to changing user requirements; 
  • Supporting client during project initiation, certification and go-live stages; 
  • Ensuring all solutions are fully tested, certified and documented, in accordance with Elavon Merchant Services guidelines; 
  • Maintaining correct and accurate records, for compliance and audit purposes; 
  • Preparing certification evaluation reports and submission of the report to test schemes; 
  • Conducting face-to–face meetings or conference calls with customers during all phases of theproject;  
  • Being able to use the test tools and comply with the testing methodology  
  • Ensuring the compliance and card scheme regulations are observed and incorporated in the testing process and documentation 
  • Identify and document quality issues and performance deficiencies and regular reporting to management. 
  • Ensures that quality standards as per self-accreditation program with card schemes, are adhered to, by actively monitoring and ensuring the quality. 
  • Providing the reports and actively taking part in auditing and assessing the quality on the projects completed as past of the card brand self-accreditation process; 
  • Creating and documenting procedures related to the certification process.  
  • Remaining informed and up to date with relevant card scheme requirements; 
  • Supporting internal and external customers in terms of research and problem solving; 
  • Ensuring that the customer is kept secure in line with the acceptable use policy and other published security policies, standards and best practice.

  • EMV Specialist/Certification UAT testing/QA experience or similar 
  • Payments industry experience 
  • Experience with or knowledge of 3D Secure, VbV and other security protocols advantageous 
  • Knowledge in process management and/or experience in process improvement techniques (sixsigma, lean etc.) 
  • Knowledge of modern test methodologies  
  • Proven experience in test script writing and working with the test tools 
  • Very strong analytical skills 
  • Proven problem solving skills  
  • Knowledge and skills in the use of technologies for detecting and tracking defects   
  • Understanding and knowledge of quality assurance processes and methods used in software development 
  • Knowledge of payment protocols and scheme specific payment requirements extremely desirable 
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
