Security Operations Manager
I am working with Global Fintech to help find their next operations manager. This role will cover both EMEA and the Americas. This role is focussed on the non-technical side of the SOC although you will still be responsible for the general operations of various soc functions including; Alert Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence and Automation.
Ideal Requirements:
- Experience managing a global team of security experts
- Experience managing the development and operations of the team and ensure 'due diligence' and compliance procedures are conducted in line with agreed controls and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills and have the ability to work with other security teams i.e. CSIRT team
- SOC project delivery experience, acting as a model project manager for SOC projects and support team in delivery
- Experience identifying which Security Operations tools are effective and operational, while identifying gaps, and implementing solutions.
- Experience reporting at the corporate level, ensuring your can communicate to both non-technical and technical colleagues
- Previous experience planning for budgets, building rapport with vendors and ensuring SOC maximizes its security budget.
- Previous experience supporting the development of others by assessing skills and creating opportunities for the development of the SOC team.
- A Cyber Security background is required but as this is a management role the requirement to be technical is no longer required
- Manage, track and report on SOC activities with effective use of Metrics including KPIs, KRIs and incidents ensuring the efficient use of resources and effective delivery of services.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of SOC operational processes and procedures
- Perform planning and budgeting activities in support of SOC efforts
- Liaise with SOC Stakeholders
- Oversee SOC project delivery, acting as a model project manager for SOC projects and support team in delivery
- Overseeing the training and development SOC staff.
- Develop and mentor the SOC team through open communication, training, and development opportunities.
- Support the SOC's mission to provide services to group companies by planning and overseeing service delivery activities such as regular Group Company service delivery/review meetings.
