Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Root cause analysis and corrective action of supplier, internal & customer quality issues
- Analysis and reporting of quality deviations to other BL’s stakeholders
- Approval and follow up of In-house technical claims
- Act as the quality lead for assigned value stream(s)
- Carry out incoming material PPAP inspections where necessary
- Ensure timely resolution of quality deviations, individual countermeasures / corrective actions
- Conduct internal / external audits as required and close out corrective actions
- Ensure material is promptly transacted to the correct warehouse and discrepancies resolved to maintain inventory accuracy
- Support the Value Stream teams and SQDIP model in day-to-day activities to ensure compliance to Quality & Schedule requirements
- Ensure that all operations carried out are completed in a safe and effective manner.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Education:
- Relevant third level degree (preferably in a mechanical discipline)
- Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education
Experience:
- Minimum three years’ experience in a quality engineering function
- Strong experience from a mechanical industry and assembly operations perspective
Competence:
- Experience in the use of Quality Tools
- Have a working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis, Quality problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
- Good understanding of ISO QEHS Management system standards (9001 / 14001 / 45001)
- Good communication and co-operations skills with internal and external parties
- Strong technical understanding of manufactured products and functionality
- Understanding of technical drawings
- Process based thinking.
