QA Engineer

Crest Solutions is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our existing team of specialists in Cork.

Job Summary:

The candidate will be required to work within the Quality Assurance Department to help maintain quality standards throughout the company. This experienced position requires sound knowledge of quality assurance systems, methods and procedures to ISO9001:2015 standards. The candidate will be required to exercise judgment within well-defined and established procedures and practices to determine appropriate action, to identify problems and to generate alternatives and recommendations within defined processes.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepares, reviews and implements quality assurance policies and procedures to ISO standards
  • Reviews and approves documents prepared by project teams (e.g. protocols, reports, change controls)
  • Supports the quality assurance improvement activities by evaluating products, processes, and data to develop control or improvement strategies intended to improve the customer’s experience.
  • Supports compliance of the quality systems, by monitoring project and product conformance to appropriate standards and procedures
  • Plans and conducts internal audits of the Quality Management System to ISO9001:2015 and company standards
  • Produces and submits a full audit report on each audit undertaken
  • Evaluates audit findings, implements appropriate corrective actions, and follows up on audits to ensure that solutions/corrective actions are implemented.
  • Completes supplier assessments and support on-site audits as required
  • Works with management and technical staff in performing root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions to preclude recurrence.
  • Carries out tasks related to the administration of site supplier approval process.
  • Support of data preparation for periodic review of the QMS and management review as appropriate
  • Supports QMS alignment with other company programs and management system.
  • Periodically conduct coaching and training sessions (workshops) on processes, standards, and methodologies.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Ability to coordinate efficiently to plan, execute audits and follow-up
  • Working knowledge of QMS document systems and control practices
  • Excellent problem solving, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in teams
  • Preferably with knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, others as needed
  • Provide leadership and assist in corrective action plans
  • Experience/Knowledge in regulated industries preferred

 

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical field required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Certification, such as internal auditor course in ISO 9001, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma, or CQE Quality Assurance Engineer preferred
  • 3+ years of work experience in QMS Audits or experience in managing and maintaining quality management system in regulated industries
