QA Engineer (Manual/Automation), CAPS

We are looking for an enthusiastic QA Engineer who is passionate about building and maintaining high-quality software and ensuring the success of new & existing Guidewire Cloud customers. The CAPS team works with customers to develop new features, resolve issues, and assure the quality of each customers’ production codebase. 

Ensure the quality of our monthly releases to Guidewire Cloud. Push to advance our productivity and efficiency through automation. Work closely with our customers and consultant developers. Help us transition to a cloud native approach. Grow into a Senior Test Automation Engineer.

  • Able to take ownership of the hands-on development effort for manual and automated testing of customer deployments

  • Good knowledge of QA processes and terminology.
  • Experience writing and executing tests in an automation framework.
  • Experience working with customer development teams and customers to understand business objectives and functional requirements
  • Experience in designing and writing manual test scripts
  • Broad technical knowledge such as Object-Oriented Programming (JAVA or C#), relational databases (data modeling/SQL), web UI (design and development), XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Ability to prioritize work effort in a dynamic work environment
  • Experience with Agile software development lifecycle and related tools (ex. TFS, Jira, or Rally)
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and competent with API testing tools (ex. Postman and Swagger).
  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent from a third level institution

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of JavaScript and Selenium
  • Experience in TestCafe or other JavaScript-based frameworks.
