An opportunity has arisen for a client facing Project Manager to join a post-startup (ISO certified) organisation as they continue to grow their projects team. As Project Manager, you will join the business in a client facing capacity and ensure successful product implementation for global partners. The overall business focus on turning data into a business asset and their products range from on premise systems to cloud based platforms. The Project Manager will work with a team that help enterprise organisations unlock the value of their business data using visual analytics and empower businesses to access their data, understand it, and use it for impactful visual comms

This is a brand new role within the business with a significant opportunity to take on a Programme Management role as they business doubles in size in the next 12months. Your passion for successful client delivery and continuous improvement will be the catalyst to your success in this role.

The business have experience in Alteryx, Tableau, AWS and Snowflake and as a whole they offer project teams to deliver client projects, with end-to-end management of the delivery of the project, including stakeholder management; managing schedule, budget, risk, change and all aspects of the overall project delivery; and taking ownership of the successful delivery of the project.

Role Description

• Build and manage the end-to-end project plan, and monitor/report progress. Effectively manage scope and dependencies. Identify risks and issues and proactively resolve/mitigate them. Ensure that the project is delivered to time, cost and quality
• Ensure that business outcomes are defined, approved, and delivered. Be responsible for benefits realisation, and ensure that benefits are delivered in the best way possible
• Capture and document project business requirements at a detailed level, including source data requirements, reporting requirements and non-functional requirements
• Support strong governance, aligned with the overall governance, and ensure that timely decisions are taken
• Communicate regularly and effectively with project stakeholders
• Support the programme team to successfully implement the project delivery methodology framework
• Support the programme manager in the overall successful delivery of the programme
• Actively champion and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management best practices, using innovative ideas to increase effectiveness of the overall team
• Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques

What experience do you need:

• 4+ years’ experience in managing projects in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Relevant Project Management certifications
• Experience of management of data and analytics projects
• Experience of working on projects that have involved the introduction of new ways of working / processes / methodologies into a business
• Highly proficient in Project Management principles, methods, techniques and tools
• Strong stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

• Working knowledge of Tableau for data visualization and ETL tools
• Working knowledge of Snowflake or other cloud data warehousing platforms
• Experience of innovation initiatives
