Project Manager - Remote

Sidero have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team. We are seeking forward-thinking people who will drive all aspects of IT Project, Program and Portfolio activity, including collaborating and coordinating across all IT and business segments.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and/or lead planning sessions; ensuring outcomes are sized and implemented according to plan
  • Support engineering with troubleshooting for defect management or production support issues
  • Management of assigned projects to agreed scope, cost, schedule and quality.
  • Delivery of project in line with budgeted man hours and margin targets.
  • Creation and execution of project work plans. Revision as appropriate to meet client/project needs.
  • Produce accurate and consistent project reports as per client and operations requirements.
  • Resolve any project issues in a timely manner. Escalate urgent issues as required.
  • Review and approve project deliverables with project team members in line with required quality standards.
  • Liaise closely with operations disciplines to determine project resource loading and monitor quality of team member performance. Prepare resource plans in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all project stakeholders are aware of deliverables, project status and key focus areas. Hold regular status meetings with project team.
  • Contribute actively to lessons learned process and other improvement initiatives.
  • Own overall project management for several simultaneously run projects including managing/assisting in the definition, design and implementation of a variety of projects with key stakeholders to include total accountability for and management of assigned projects
  • Prepare and manage appropriate project plans including managing all resources in relation to delivery of outputs to meet milestones and overall project delivery date
  • Give guidance to the team and the business on solutions available to support best business practice, maximise efficiencies and minimise operational and technical risk
  • Manage and produce status reporting, change control, Risks, Actions, issues and decision log processes
  • Effectively manage escalation processes where appropriate
  • Manage the relationship with internal and external parties including clients & service providers to ensure the standards and requirements of the company are met
  • Interface with application specialists, development resources, technical support teams, operational resources and senior management and build relationships to ensure effective delivery of projects
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience (managing multidisciplinary project teams) within software engineering.
  • PMI qualification or equivalent a plus.
  • Third level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Consultancy experience a plus.
  • Must have experience of previously managing (directly) several projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver business projects.
  • Strong leadership skills for driving cross functional groups
  • Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
  • Outstanding communication (both spoken and written), planning, project management, networking and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
