Role Purpose 
Drive successful delivery of a portfolio of projects across a Programme, through proactive management of dependencies, issues and risks of the constituent parts of the programme (projects, small change and BAU initiatives) to achieve business objectives and outcomes.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities: 
Impact on the business 
•    Ensure agreed business objectives are enabled through proactive and diligent management of third party activities, including delivering an excellent customer experience.
•    Ensure business can base market-facing plans with confidence on agreed programme outcomes by ensuring accurate and timely communications on 3rd party status and challenges. 
•    Develop strong close working relationship with IT Management team and Business Stakeholders on the programme.
•    Ensure programme objectives are delivered within the Change Delivery framework and within budget, timeline and quality expectations.
 

Technical Leadership

•    Work with IT delivery manager to own and manage the technology delivery of E2E solutions 
•    Accountable for the technology delivery of E2E platform solutions including cross-vendor dependencies
•    Owner of the integrated technical delivery plan for the Programme
•    Manages vendor solution delivery and acceptance to meet VF requirements to agreed quality standards
•    Assure the transition of solutions into operational support as part of the SLRT & QSIB process

Establish Deliverable Tracking & Management
•    Identify and define the key expected deliverables across the delivery lifecycle 
•    Ensure each project and programme is defining and tracking the key IT and non-IT deliverables, including both creation and acceptance
•    Establish a tracking tool to track this is being done
•    Introduce Percentage of Completion (PoC) tracking and reporting for all projects and programmes

Customers Suppliers and Third Parties 
•    Proactive challenge SI to ensure third party deliverables are on time, as specified and match agreed quality standards
•    Support negotiation of work orders for the relevant programmes, including using existing framework arrangements where applicable, focussing primarily on work effort with support of procurement lead. Engage Solution Architects and other stakeholders as appropriate in this. 
•    Manage vendor costs throughout project lifecycle, protecting the overall budget of the programme in delivery
•    Ensure vendor/SI commitment to deliverables and timelines in overall integrated delivery plan
•    Manage the escalations between the vendor and third parties to ensure that are resolved on a timely basis
 

Leadership and team work

•    Motivate team of Project Management and Delivery Tech Lead Contractors to hit their project timelines and deliverables.
•    Act as an effective member of the IT and work on additional team objectives as required. Work to identify and secure resources to support the timely completion of all IT tasks and deliverables
•    Develop Vodafone IT resourcing plan for the programme, including PM \Delivery Tech Lead, fulltime \ part-time resources
•    Contribute to effective programme ways of working

Specific  X Programme
•    Develop resourcing plan for Technology resources, covering both full-time and part-time resources required to support the programme  relevant to  Capex spend and Capitalised  Overheads
•    Define Demand Delivery programme Interlock. Establish and drive key interlocks between ODP Demand and Delivery, Networks and Converged Programme to ensure SI has awareness required to successfully deliver the programme, manage Demand / Delivery concerns and escalations to the specific programme..
•    Ensure Change Control Management for legacy is established, ensuring that implications of scope changes are understood and agreed, following formal Change Control and Governance processes
•    Own 3rd party budget and track actual costs ensuring no project overruns. This includes managing the creation of purchase orders for all 3rd parties and good receipting of same.
•    Ensure approved funding in place as required throughout project lifecycle
•    Support vendor price proposals , securing inputs from appropriate stakeholders to validate price proposals and ensure value for money
•    Engage in Programme and Release Planning as part of the annual release planning process to guide cross functional planning/dependencies across all IT projects and specific programme X
•    Deliver all projects and programmes on time and within budget 
•    Employee engagement targets - Own Performance Plan - Start of Year & Updated Plan at Mid and End of Year Team Performance plans
•    Ensure VF tasks completed for 3rd Party vendors in accordance with project schedule and proactively resolve any slippage in plan
•    Agree project organisation and ensure appropriate VF resources are assigned in accordance with the project plan
•    Fully understand and rigorously manage 3rd Party risks and issues, driving successful mitigation, resolution and escalation as required.
•    Manage VF IE 3rd Party dependencies across all streams within the project, both business and technology, and across other projects in a release, monitoring overall end state and project objectives
•    Ensure 3rd Party costs are factored into decisions on changes being reviewed by programme Governance, 
•    Support the transition in / out of 3rd parties to the programme based on application / vendor sourcing decisions made.
