Technical Lead/ Manager

Product Manager, Zendesk SDKs (Android, iOS, Unity, Web)

Zendesk is looking for a Technical Product Manager to own and continue to grow our native SDKs for Android, iOS, Unity and Web that provide relevant and in-context end-user experiences. In this role, you will continue to define support and engagement experiences that are used in thousands of apps and websites, helping to craft the next generation toolkits that empower developers to build streamlined experiences for our customers’ end-users.

Regularly collaborating with global teams, we work directly development scrum teams based in Dublin (Ireland), Krakow (Poland) and Melbourne (Australia).

As a team we: 

  • Collaborate with engineering, QA and design/UX to plan and deliver new features and improvements for Zendesk messaging, Talk, Guide, Support, Chat and other Zendesk SDKs to enable our customers to easily embed Zendesk products into their native mobile applications and websites.
  • Work across multiple cross-functional teams, partnering with other Product Managers and Engineers on taking concepts from ideation to launch (and then some), acting as the conduit.
  • Work with customers to understand needs and present a vision for joint success. 
  • Align with the corporate and team strategies to develop both short and long-term roadmaps for our SDKs based on customer feedback, data, and market needs.
  • Regularly collaborate with teams across the globe to understand and develop vital features to improve our SDKs.
  • Communicate and collaborate across departments like product, sales, success, and advocacy to ensure the awareness and success of our products and features. 
  • Demonstrate sound technical understanding to make strong decisions, and write detailed stories and product plans.
  • Direct the creation and maintenance of documentation, guides, and tutorials.
  • Expect to travel a few times a year to work with the global teams, sometime in the future! 

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 3+ years working with native mobile apps, SDK, API products, and/or websites (with strong mobile and end-user experience focus) as a Product Manager or equivalent capacity.
  • Mobile app coding interest/experience in Swift, Objective C, Kotlin, Java, C# and/or Unity is a definite bonus.
  • An ability to develop innovative, market-leading solutions that meet customer expectations, and end-user needs. 
  • A strong work ethic, capable of working independently and also able to collaborate and thrive with multiple geographically distributed teams.
  • Passionate about defining a long-term strategy and enjoy release incrementally to the benefit of customers and the longer-term roadmap.
  • An interest in exploring customer problems and recommending solutions. Collaborate closely and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers and partners.
