Product Designer

As a designer on our product team, you will be expected to meet with customers regularly and use your research skills to determine the underlying needs that they share. Then you will collaborate with your colleagues in the product and engineering team to bring the most desirable, viable and feasible solutions to meet those customer needs. As an early member of our design team, you will be comfortable working in a start-up environment, where agility and resourcefulness are essential. You will work closely with a Product Owner and Lead Engineer, as well as the full scrum team to define and solve complex user problems in simple, creative and user-friendly ways. You are a team player, willing to collaborate to understand what you’re solving for and to deliver a product that delivers the best value for our customers in line with a clear company strategy that you will feel very connected to.
What You Will Be Doing
- We are looking for someone who has previous experience of designing B2B SaaS software that solves complex business problems and incorporates multiple workflows, ideally within the enterprise space.
As a designer on the Brightflag Product Team, you will constantly collaborate in the full design lifecycle. That means:- Consulting with internal stakeholders to recruit customers for research
- Meeting with customers to gather research insights
- Synthesizing insights into requirements and defining the real problems to solve
- Sketching, prototyping and iterating on product ideas for review by engineering, internal stakeholders and selected customers
- Deciding what to track in analytics—so that we can know what’s working well
- Iterating and improving the design based on analytics, user feedback, and further research
Location & Eligibility
This role offers a flexible work location across Ireland. Whether that be in the office (when public health guidelines allow), remote from anywhere in Ireland, or a mix of office/remote work in Ireland, you choose what works best for your lifestyle.

Who You Are
To be successful in the role, you need:
- Experience of the design lifecycle described above, with a real desire to learn more and raise your game
- 3+ years experience delivering features in web-based software applications — B2B SaaS a plus
- 3+ years experience working closely and collaboratively with engineers and product managers in a scrum Agile environment
- A strong base in beautiful UI and UX design — of course
- Experience in creating wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mock-ups
- Proficiency in Figma or other visual design and wireframing tools — we use Figma
- Proficiency in customer interaction and usage tracking tools such as Google Analytics
- You are an excellent communicator of design work and your rationale behind proposals
