Process And Pack Engineer

A vacancy exists for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Dundalk Colour Toner Plant. As a key member of the engineering team the position of Manufacturing Engineer is critical to the overall success of the Dundalk Colour Toner Plant business through delivery of improvement (safety, capacity, productivity, quality, environmental and energy) and compliance (risk reduction and regulatory requirements) projects.

High-pressure environment with a strong emphasis on technical detail and operational metrics. Monday to Friday Day & Evening Shift work may be required for this role.

Key Role Tasks and Activities:

  •  Development of best practice automated solutions to improve productivity in manufacturing and packaging.
  •  Development and optimisation of processes to create a World Class Manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous process improvement through application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other lean six   sigma tools.
  • Maintenance and control of Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Condition Monitoring systems.
  • Specification, selection and project management of installation of process and packaging equipment to all applicable standards.
  • Work with all teams to ensure timely systematic problem solving and closed loop corrective action.
  • Support maintenance of and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 management standards.
  • Support efforts to maintain compliance with ATEX and other workplace Safety Directives.
  • Support process HAZOP studies and risk assessments with the identification and delivery of key risk reduction projects as required
  • Support new product introduction projects.
  • Essential Level 8 Degree in mechanical/manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
  • Organized and structured problem solver.
  • Minimum 1-year Industrial experience or experience as work placement
  • Excellence in approach to safe working and housekeeping practices
