As part of Facebook’s Central Privacy Program, we have a European Data Protection Program (EDPP) focused on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The European Data Protection Program is chartered to operate, manage and monitor General Data Protection Program (GDPR) relevant processes to ensure regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for leading program management of the European Data Protection Program team starting with the integration of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the build out of the European Data Protection Program team. Your work will help support our mission to honor people’s privacy in everything Facebook does. In this role, you will partner with product, business, and legal teams across the company to develop deep insights into the mechanics of how teams incorporate privacy-by-design into business operations and product lifecycles. The ideal person will exhibit leadership, persistence, patience, attention to detail, be self-motivated, and have a collaborative, positive attitude with the goal to ascertain the operating effectiveness of the key privacy controls and overall company wide program.This is a full-time position that will be based at our International headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.

 

 
Privacy Program Manager Responsibilities
 
  •  
     
    Interpret relevant regulations and understand how to adapt to these changes through the implementation of internal controls and create a supporting roadmap to deploy company-wide scalable solutions
  •  
     
    Integrate and synthesize information from multiple teams, including legal and policy domain knowledge, in order to analyze complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems
  •  
     
    Become a trusted partner working cross-functionally with the office of the Data Protection Officer (oDPO) and Facebook Ireland (FIL) to document, gather requirements, and drive teams to closure
  •  
     
    Lead multiple initiatives or projects to execute against project plans and compliance objectives
  •  
     
    Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and competing priorities
  •  
     
    Demonstrate data analytical skills and the ability to work with attention to detail, maintaining a high bar of consistency, accuracy, and quality
  •  
     
    Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and ensure user privacy is not compromised
  •  
     
    Make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-release
  •  
     
    Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders
  •  
     
    Be motivated by the opportunity to solve privacy problems within a compliance, operations environment
Minimum Qualifications
  •  
     
    5+ years experience in project management roles within the technology or professional services industries in the area of data privacy, risk management, and security
  •  
     
    3 + years experience in Audit and or implementation of controls frameworks and reporting metrics to track results
  •  
     
    3+ years experience working in a technical environment
Preferred Qualifications
  •  
     
    Program Management experience on multiple large-scale products and systems that impact the organization’s trajectory with a track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech ops and compliance space
  •  
     
    Knowledge of the compliance and regulatory landscape and trends impacting technology companies (including GDPR)
  •  
     
    Demonstrated sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted time frame
  •  
     
    Experience for automation, with experience getting things done and overcome obstacles
  •  
     
    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Risk Management, Business or related experience in Compliance/Regulatory Operations
  •  
     
    Industry certifications relating to security, privacy, and risk management, such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or Information security certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, and CRISC
