My client, a household name in the utilities sector, is looking for a Power Systems Applications Manager to join their ever expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to further their career, while also being part of an exciting IT transformation. The Applications team operates across their four key operational sites and is responsible for developing and supporting their core EMS.
The suitable Power Systems Applications Manager will be responsible for maintaining the availability and support of power systems applications, such as EMS and will plan and manage the programme of work for the EMS and Scada data teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the availability and support of power system applications, such as EMS
- Deliver 24×7 support, of any issues with EMS and help with resolutions to subject matter experts
- Lead the management of major incidents and managing key stakeholders
- Drive EMS governance and key decisions
- Lead the Power Systems Applications team in the release management and testing of EMS databases
Essential Skills / Experience:
- An engineering / IT degree or equivalent with proven applications analyst experience
- Experience supporting mission and business critical services in a 24×7 environment
- Track record of leading teams
- Experience maintaining effective relationships with management of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills
Desirable:
- Technical knowledge of power systems modelling and analysis
- Experience in energy or utility sectors
- Experience of configuring, testing and commissioning Scada data
