The Role

Major Responsibilities

Our technology & portfolio leaders must be highly motivated, self-driven, hands-on leaders that can work seamlessly across multiple disciplines and be the link between our cross-functional teams that execute on the vision we’ve created. Together, we are defining, building, and launching the next generation of technology-enabled products and services that will shape the future of Cubic Telecom’s business.

  • Continuously analyse technology trends in Automotive industry and relevant adjacent markets to develop, own, drive and communicate product vision and strategy in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including customers
  • Specify and document Automotive strategic product roadmaps by gathering insights through customer and partner interaction, sales engagements (pre-sales and business development), competitive analysis and analyst research
  • Establish the product vision and roadmap delivering a clear and differentiated value proposition to compete in market now and in the future
  • Build a strong Automotive innovation pipeline across innovation horizons that allow to manage risk while preparing the organization for the future: work closely with internal and external stakeholders, increasing pipeline of new product opportunities
  • Maintain a deeply user-centered focus throughout the process from early stages of research and design to making continuous product improvements based on customer feedback
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team across Design, Engineering, Business, and Operations teams to ensure the desirability, feasibility, and viability of our product strategy
  • Make data-driven decisions through rapid iteration, experiments in market, and learning through feedback from real customers
  • Communicate highly complex concepts and plans to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, and evangelize the product strategy to executive leadership
  • Build strong relationships across a variety of functions to establish trust, make decisions, and drive action
  • Champion a product-driven culture through collaboration, mentorship, and advocacy for the right tools and processes to help the team be successful

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a technical or engineering field or MBA or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience; 5 years in automotive or IOT industries
  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with software engineering teams
  • Experience with Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking principles in the product development process
  • Experience building service-based product ecosystems e.g. automotive OEM or consumer solutions and application, Internet of Things (IoT), Mobile Applications, Mobility as a Service, or Autonomous Vehicles
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, establishing goals, and crafting a plan in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; able to use data to translate ambiguous problems into elegant solutions
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to build complex products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage effectively at all levels from executive leadership to customers, across geographies and cultures
