Deloitte has exciting career opportunities for a Junior Tester in test support within the Systems Engineering Team. The role requires 1+ years of experience in supporting testing systems. You will be working in a client-facing role in a Java-based environment and will be part of the Live Support team.
You will be responsible for
- Providing support to Test teams during software testing phases
- Supporting Integration and System Test
- Debugging to identify the root cause of issues in Test environments
- Investigating, prioritizing live incidents.
- Determining the cause of live incidents.
- Running of batch jobs in Test environments
- Preparation of Test data
- Reporting to teams leads and management
- Adhere to process and documentation standards.
- Communicating with helpdesks, business and Test/Development Teams.
- Ensuring a good flow of communication between stakeholders when working on tasks
- 1+ years of experience in Live Support of testing environments.
- Third level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline
- Knowledge of some of the following:
- Java
- JMS;
- SQL;
- Relational Databases;
- Unix;
- Unix Scripting;
- JUnit testing experience.
- C would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
- Spring Batch;
- Hibernate/JPA;
- Maven;
- Weblogic;
- Mule;
- COBOL;
- Output Management experience;
- UC4 knowledge;
- Knowledge particularly of how JAVA interacts with various browsers & operating systems;
- Hudson;
- CVS.
- Ideally 1+ year's demonstrated industry experience in one or more of the following:
- Agile highly desirable
- Reviewing and debugging stack trace errors
- Previous client facing / consulting experience
