IT Strategy and Portfolio Governance Manager

Position Description

The IT & Digital team is responsible for developing and delivering the IT & Digital Strategy required by the business to support the strategic objectives of Generation & Trading, and to manage implementation of the Strategy in a cost-effective and value-driven manner.

 

Applications are invited for the position of IT Strategy & Portfolio Governance Manager on the IT and Digital team. This role is focused primarily on strategy development and the associated investment plans, to ensure that IT, Analytics, and Digital Strategies are aligned to business needs and to ensure that appropriate plans to deliver these Strategies are in place.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive out the IT & Digital Strategy required by the business in close collaboration with both BU and Enterprise Services Senior Management Teams
  • Lead the Smart Working strategy for GT from an IT & Digital perspective, in collaboration with the GT business and the Accelerate Digital team
  • Assess the impact and opportunity of emerging technology for the strategic direction of GT
  • Deliver multi-year solution roadmaps, annual workplans & budgets, and quarterly revisions required to ensure effective implementation of the IT & Digital Strategy
  • Lead the IT & Digital governance framework for GT, including the IT Investment and Change Boards; and liaise appropriately with governance counterparts in Enterprise Services
  • Develop and oversee compliance with standards for prioritisation of work, business case approval and benefits realisation
  • Manage and co-ordinate Business Unit GDPR activities, including SAR’s (Subject Access requests), DPIA’s (Data Protection Impact Assessments) and ROP (Records of processing) reviews
  • Represent the IT & Digital function at relevant Cyber security forums

  • Working knowledge of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Essential

  • A recognised third level qualification in an IT/Computer Science or Business discipline, or equivalent work experience is essential.
