IT Procurement Specialist
Our client a leading, international internet services provider who values multiculturalism, diversity and innovation, is looking to hire?an IT Procurement Specialist/ Buyer to work with major suppliers in various fields on a permanent contract.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, process oriented and able to work in an independent manner, who will be able to support the procurement director in operations and strategy planning.
Your role will involve
- Manage Purchase Orders for varies of categories.
- Follow procurement process and manage supplier selection to fulfil business team requirement.
- Improve compliance of general procurement and control environment and implement internal control measure to ensure security operation.
- As per company process & regulations, sourcing the suitable suppliers and ensuring suppliers are committed to achieving goals and objectives in the areas of Compliance, Quality, Cost Competitiveness and Delivery.
- Manage sourcing activities relating to business models, via management of RFQ RFP & RFI, key sourcing processes and quotation analysis / negotiation.
- Obtain approval for procurement program, release orders and follow up following steps till the project fully delivered as per the contract/agreement.
- Invite for a bidding & conduct the commercial & technical analysis as the case may be.
- Manage suppliers’ performance & organize communication with suppliers periodically to maintain relationship with key suppliers.
- Analyse ever evolving procurement environment, keep improving the procurement cost & implement risk mitigation plan to guarantee business continuousness.
- Conduct procurement related training to internal & external customers/partners.
- More than 3-year experience in IT procurement, category management or related previous experience working for a global Internet, IT or Telecom company.
- Previous background in digital services procurement preferred.
- Able to benchmark market pricing and negotiate terms with the supplier.
- Excellent procurement toolkit (familiarity with running RFI / RFQ processes).
- Previous experience with Oracle would be beneficial.
