IT Placement Student

Your new role 

The successful candidate will report to one of our Retail Solutions Managers and/or our IT Delivery Managers and will be responsible for providing business support for the Retail Solutions team and Strategic Projects team, including providing application support, development of data architecture, IT solution design, software development, testing and process improvement. With a positive attitude and willingness to learn, you will need to have the drive to add value to our business. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 

  • Provide 1st line application support for Energia Group business (Service Desk). 
  •  Identify any problems with the new system functionality and business processes. 
  • Propose solutions to any problems identified. 
  •  Developing new test scripts / methodologies to test the new functionality and processes. 
  •  Testing new IT functionality and related business processes. 
  • Support implementation of the new IT functionality and business processes into production, including providing training material. 
  • General IT Tasks/Support. 

Essential Criteria: (qualifications, experience, skills or knowledge you MUST SHOW YOU HAVE to be considered for the job) 

  • Studying towards a degree in Computer science, Computing Engineering, Information technology, Business Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Module results to date must have a combined average in excess of 60%.
    • * All modules and results must be listed on your CV.
  • Highly computer literate with experience beyond basic use of Windows applications.
  • Broad understanding of IT processes.
    • *The module results combined average may be increased if we have a high level of interest
