We’re growing across our locations, and we are seeking an experienced candidate to fill a permanent IT Manager II position supporting our three sites in Ireland.

 

Job Purpose

The IT Manager II is responsible for directing all IT-related business support services (i.e., deskside support) and is the local leader supporting our business customers’ core technologies across our sites in Galway, Cork, and Clonmel. The role can based in one of our three sites with the expectation of frequent travel to the other sites. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Manage and collaborate with Site Managers & Supervisors to ensure excellent IT support, ongoing communications, and innovative technology solutions.

Work together with regional business stakeholders to understand their vision for IT; in addition to communicating pertinent updates about IT strategies and initiatives.

Own the governance of the local technology project portfolio and facilitate the business request intake process.

Provide ideas and project management for ongoing and future enhancements to applications, technology stack, the operational environment, and new investments.

Analyse the IT needs of functional departments and establish detailed objectives and priorities for implementing IT solutions and services to support business initiatives.

Oversee all validated systems in accordance with internal software validation procedures working closely with the Quality teams.

Assists in the development and maintenance of strategic technology roadmaps

Lead all change management activities to support new or changing IT products and/or services.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills with personnel and business stakeholders.

Qualifications/ Experience

Computer Science Degree HETAC Level 8

5+ years of people management experience

8+ years of experience in IT within life science, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing environment

5+ years of experience in budget management

Understanding of GMP best practices and manufacturing processes

Possess a data, metrics, and solution-oriented mentality

Understand customer-centricity, automation within IT support, and continuous improvement practices

Solid understanding of current technology and interest to research tech trends

Knowledge of ITIL or Agile methodology is a bonus
