As IP & Content Counsel, you’ll be the first member of the IP & Content team based in Europe, and will advise the business on issues relating to copyright, content, and intermediary liability, with particular focus on European laws. You’ll work with our engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure compliance with a dynamic and developing set of laws relating to user generated content.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with our engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure compliance with IP and content laws
- Provide specialist advice to other members of the legal team on copyright and intermediary liability issues
- Monitor ongoing developments in legislation, case law, and regulatory guidance relating to copyright and content laws
- Advise the operations teams on legal questions around content removal systems
- Qualified to practice law in at least one European jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience counseling on copyright or intermediary liability issues at a law firm or in-house
- Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity with excellent communication skills
