What does a role with Ward look like?

Our graduate roles are split across three main departments

  • SOC – If defensive security is your thing our security operations centre is the heart of that at Ward. Here we monitor our customer environments for threats in real time, and when those threats appear that’s when the SOC team really shines. As well as monitoring we also do proactive threat hunting and incident response.
  • NOC – Our Network operations centre team build and maintain the secure environments that our customers entire operations sit on. They build the infrastructure that governs traffic in and out of our customers networks so if your interests are in networking, platform or cloud security this is where you belong!
  • SGRC – Strategy, Governance, Risk and Compliance is where we secure some of the biggest weaknesses in our customer environments. Having the best firewall and a monitored network won’t help if our customers don’t have the tools to enable their teams to think securely. This is where our SGRC team come in, they evaluate the internal processes that our customers use, help them establish better ones and then test them out though pentesting and social engineering. Our Test and Assurance team sits within the SGRC team and are our experts in offensive security.
