Based in Dublin, this role will be initially remote until offices reopen. Our client is a world leading online marketplace who are at the forefront of their industry.

In this 11-month contract, they are looking for a Fraud Operations Specialist, with 1-2 years of experience within risk management, fraud prevention, or Trust and Safety.

Our client is currently conducting all interviews online and are onboarding all new workers remotely.

What will a Fraud Operations Specialist do?

  • Maintain Subject Matter Expertise of Identity Product and user flows to successfully complete core work and escalations
  • Assist users in navigating and completing Identity verification flows while remaining vigilant in identifying risk and fraudulent use of Identity.
  • Educate users on how to maintain security and safety while using company’s responsibly
  • Work with operations team and product to help develop drive feedback loop with document verification vendors and expand personal expertise in this area
  • Investigate complex situations and potential misuse of Airbnb Identity Verification processes.
  • Work with operational lead to support cross-functional groups to develop and enhance internal policies and tools such as increasing automation, updating policies, and fixing product loopholes
  • Understand our Identity systems and the associated risks, investigate account patterns, and complete labelling tasks to inform product/tool models
  • Identify and escalate trends, bugs, and product vulnerabilities to stakeholders
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality while performing investigations
  • Comprehensively document investigations
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the purpose Identity Verification
  • Work closely with internal Product to enhance proactive and reactive risk detection as an informing or collaborating task.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and be open to sharing what you know with others.
  • 1-2 years of experience within risk management, fraud prevention, or Trust and Safety.
  • SQL, JSON, or equivalent experience with other coding languages is a plus.
