The Director of Global Marketing Analytics will be the business owner leading Groupon’s Global Marketing Analytics function. Solving complex problems, delivering critical customer insights, and supporting strategic decisions to enable Groupon to get the right experiences to the right customers. This business leader will have experience leading marketing analytics functions that deliver customer insights enabling efficient marketing spending and customer acquisition/retention. The Director of Global Marketing Analytics will be an experienced team leader that can work at all levels of the organization — and has experience in articulating strategy alongside technical and analytical capabilities to support strategic problem solving.

 

The Director of Global Marketing Analytics will work closely with Groupon’s Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing VP/Directors, and senior stakeholders to build Customer Segmentation insights, Customer Engagement Models, Channel Marketing strategies, predictive customer propensity models, and Media Mix Models that maximize returns across the customer lifecycle.

You'll Spend Time Leading the Following:

  • Lead Groupon’s Global Marketing Analytics team with a focus on optimizing marketing investments and improving customer engagement across the customer lifecycle.
  • Supporting the Chief Marketing Officers organization in strategic decision making, business monitoring, and opportunity development (testing new ideas).
  • Designing and implementing processes to ensure reliability in the data infrastructure, data processes, and insights sharing. 
  • Measuring marketing program effectiveness with emphasis on customer lifecycle and strong understanding of customer / activity downstream value.
  • Maintaining customer and marketing dashboards for day-to-day management of critical KPI’s across all marketing investments and customer engagement channels. 
  • Creating customer segmentation and targeting models for Customer Engagement.
  • Developing predictive models to support customer targeting and lifecycle management.
  • Working on global cross functional teams, including viral teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in customer marketing and analytics, 5+ years of team management experience
  • eCommerce experience, with focus on marketing / customer analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering), MBA Preferred
  • Proven track record of setting direction for your team, working with Senior Leaders to understand insights and design strategy and establish priorities
  • Excellent communicator at all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record using data to deliver insights and design strategies to optimize customer engagement investments
  • Strong understanding and prior experience with data extraction languages and data visualization tools
  • Strong understanding on applied statistics for to use for marketing experimentation
  • Experience with database and lifecycle marketing and the role of information in driving offerings and effectiveness
