eCommerce Concept Development Manager

Role Description:

The eCommerce Concept Development Manager will be responsible for developing and enhancing our eCommerce product backlog in Europe. They will accomplish this by conducting research, interpreting data and making recommendations based on their findings and building out required concept development documents by collaborating with key stakeholders.

They will assist with defining to identify new business opportunities, along with conducting competitor and market analysis and gather sales feedback. They will help to identify problems and opportunities within the business and ultimately provide solutions that will enhance our customer value propositions and ensure we are meeting the needs of the market.

Other responsibilities include supporting in the design of market penetration strategies for existing and new products, analyzing the value of enhancements to existing products, monitoring the competitive market environment and owning the “voice of the business” for development of new product functionality. The role will involve close collaboration with both the Product and Commercial stakeholders within the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a framework for evaluating, scoring and prioritising activity for any new activity that might require Product & Innovation support
  • Conduct research & interpret findings on market insights, business opportunities, industry trends, competing organizations, customer demographics, and new technologies
  • Develop product strategy based on the prevalent state of ecommerce business, and work with Product to create product roadmaps
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to prioritize the concept development back log to delivery with Product teams.
  • Owner in Concept development process to drive ideas from ideation to development while ensuring backlog of concepts are prioritized and agreed with key stakeholders
  • Define Success Factors & Vision & High Level Business Case for POC
  • Implement and operate a controlled process and approach
  • Develop new customer journey flows and buildout of detailed business requirement documents
  • Drive opportunities for future Value Added Services revenue
  • Work cross-functionally with all relevant teams within the business including Product, Sales, Marketing, Channel Development, etc.
  • Considerable knowledge of eCommerce products/services, operations, and current market trends is a plus
  • Proven experience in defining product strategy for delivering digital payment services on payment networks that enable tokenized, wallet initiated, mobile or ecommerce type transactions
  • Ability to understand complex requirements and devise customized solutions
  • Solve complex needs and work across internal teams including risk, operations, product etc.
  • Strong stakeholder’s engagement and management skills
  • Ability to make critical decisions independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, excellent product management capabilities and an ability to work with technical detail
  • Strong leadership skills in working with multi-disciplinary teams of both a technical and business nature.  Achieves buy-in from relevant internal stakeholders and influences cross-functional teams to achieve deliverables
  • 2+ years of product management or relevant experience
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
  • History of exceeding expectations
  • Payments Industry experience would be ideal
