U.S. Bank is seeking a Directory Services Specialist with support and design experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. 

 

Implements, tests, and supports directory services features, facilities, tools, and technologies.  Ensures that directory services infrastructure is designed and implemented to support secure and efficient access. 

 

Responsible for the administration of user identities and security profiles.  Works with Audit and Information Security functions in the risk analysis of new applications and adoption and usage of enterprise security standards around directory services solutions. 

 

Facilitates the functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.  Documents directory design and structure. Participates in project design reviews and configuration management-code control processes. 

 

Analyzes and resolves problems associated with directory databases, servers, hardware, and software.  Develops and maintains a comprehensive support documentation.

  • Manages large directories including Microsoft Active Directory Domains, Lightweight Directory Services (LDS), Ping Directory and Novell Directory Services (eDirectory).
  • Experience with network security protocols.
  • Experience with LDAP and Kerberos directories and tools.
  • Defines and implements schema requirements.
  • Manages Active Directory Group Policy Objects.
  • Installs and upgrades directory server products.
  • Evaluates and provides recommendations of current directories for capacity, network, security and disaster recovery.
  • Performs backup and recovery procedures for the directories.
  • Senior level working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
  • Develops and maintains Logon Script methods.
  • Working knowledge of scripting tools such as VBS, Java, PowerShell and Perl.
  • Maintains support and design documentation.
  • Provides technical support to other support personnel and end users.
  • Provides rotating on-call group support and responds to incidents.
  • Participates in root cause incident resolution.
  • Participates in Audits and Disaster Recover exercises.
  • Collaborates with Project Manages, System Integrators to provide project support.
  • Works with Information Security personal.
  • Understands Change Management procedures. 
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive government background evaluation.
