Mastercard Developers is an API platform dedicated to providing developers seamless access to Mastercard services. The platform features standardized technical documentation and sandbox testing environments, as well as sample code and tutorials, to help developers integrate Mastercard APIs into their new and innovative solutions. With services spanning payment, security, data, loyalty and more, our users include everyone from large financial institutions to disruptive FinTechs and individual developers.

We are looking for a passionate Design Lead with technical acumen who can help propel our platform forward. You will play a key role in designing next generation digital products and services for a Global audience.

About the Role

Be solution-oriented: conceptualize, visualize, and design user experiences, working in a highly collaborative and agile team.

Translate use cases into a clear direction through UX deliverables such as storyboard, sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, videos, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

Deliver experiences that are optimized for a wide range of customers and devices

Encourage and promote UX and design thinking within the teams that you work with.

• Ability to lead an entire design process, from concept to implementation
• Strong portfolio of work showing large-scale projects with major usage
• Proficiency in both design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Invision, and Adobe Suites
• Be open to and encourage critique from colleagues.
• Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaboration skills, and organizational skills.
• High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
• A proven record of strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new design trends and tools and support multiple concurrent activities and to programs external/internal resources
• A foundational understanding of API technology and the developer experience
• Previous work on Developer-centric designs and technical products are a huge plus
