Digital project manager

Role Description:

  • To project manage medium to complex projects to deliver strategic goals.
  • Ensure the project stays on track, within budget and is delivered to a high standard, managing risks and issues as they arise as well as spotting areas for improvement during the project.
  • Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk while adhering to PM standards and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders to ensure consistent feedback, project delivery and priority management.
  • Provide strategic input to the senior IT team to drive improvements in delivery, technology and structure.

The ideal candidate will have digital experience and be eager to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects

Requirements;You will have 8+ years Project Management experience working within an Agile environment. 

The Person:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management (+ 8 years). He/she will be a highly motivated individual and be capable of working under pressure. The individual will ideally have been involved in large complex projects delivering business and operational transformation.

  • 4+ years' experience as a Product Owner
  • Experience with Digital Projects (eCommerce, web, mobile)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) methodologies
  • Experience with User Stories and Scope Statements
  • Ensuring MVP is defined and scope is adhered to
  • Working with development teams to refine user stories and plan sprints
  • Good understanding of UX/UI
  • Experience with Payments solutions or payments operations experience is desirable

Necessary Qualifications / Skills:

  • 8+ years' experience of project management & delivery in the financial services or technology business environments would be very desirable.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and processes with a particular focus on managing agile development processes with experience in transitioning teams to the agile process.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong Stakeholder and Vendor Management
