About the role

We are currently recruiting for Conversion Rate Optimisation Manager to join our Digital team in AXA Ireland, Reporting to Head of Digital.


With over 6 million visitors coming to our website every year, we need to make data driven decisions in order to provide business insight & prioritise development. We’re looking for a strong analytical digital savvy professional, who has strong communication skills and stakeholder management, to comfortably influence key players and provide insights that enable focused and measurable delivery, positive revenue growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.

As the Conversion Rate Optimisation, you will lead and manage a team of 3 and work alongside the Online Acquisition Team and the Development team to effectively understand the customer journey online across new business, renewals, MTAs, claims and payments using advanced customer analytics.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Defining, leading & communicating the onsite optimisation strategy & roadmap
  • Taking responsibility for excellent insight & analysis across reporting, reviews as well as long terms strategic initiatives
  • Manage a team of 3 data specialists
  • Work in conjunction with the Digital Acquisition Manager and Digital Product Manager to lead in providing data-led insights to drive future development prioritization & increased sales.
  • Work in conjunction with the Digital Product Manager and product owners to assess the impact of development releases
  • Provide and communicate regular reports and insight to product and marketing teams.
  • Identify ways to continuously improve the online reports, processes, ways of working within the data team
  • Responsibility for designing and developing a multi-channel Analytics platform in SQL and Microsoft Power BI
  • Create and manage a set of dashboard reports in Microsoft Power BI and refine ongoing in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure platform provides key insights directly affecting the bottom-line of AXA Ireland’s online journey’s covering ROI and NI.
  • Provide regular reporting to the executive and management team with insight and recommendations to help better understand our business

About the person

  • 5+ years in similar optimization / digital role and managing team
  • Essential –  Third level qualification in IT or data related discipline; Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodology; Project management qualification
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills as well as being able to comfortably engage and influence the executive and management teams.
  • Excellent Analytical and Reporting skills, with proven ability to collate large data sources and to distil these into key trends to inform future business decisions
  • Expert in Business Analytics, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Google Docs, Office 365, Google Analytics.
  • Technical experience in Cloud (AWS) & MySQL, Oracle, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Google Apps Script, XML.
  • Excellent understanding of advanced Analytic tools like Google Analytics 360 and Celebrus
  • Inquisitive and analytical problem-solver.
  • Keen interest in new and upcoming technologies.
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to work independently and on initiative.
