The Glanbia Incubation Hub are looking for a Digital Apprentice to join a new and growing team. This team is dedicated to digital innovation, new value creation and improved customer experience at a world leading global nutrition group.

The role primarily involves supporting the core Incubation Hub team in the execution of a number of defined innovation projects. This team will work on complex problems to better understand them, explore innovative solutions, and test their viability. We’re looking for somebody with bags of enthusiasm, flexibility, and an eagerness to try new things

This is a permanent position that will offer a hybrid working model, combining remote and onsite work in our Waterside Offices, Citywest, Dublin.

About the Glanbia Incubation Hub

• The Glanbia Incubation Hub exists to dramatically simplify the process of digital innovation for Glanbia and accelerate change.
• The team will focus initially on strategic challenges facing the business globally and be tasked with investigating these from a customer/consumer perspective.
• This role will form part of the core team that will be supplemented and scaled up with relevant experts depending on the challenge.
• This flexible, empowered team will weave together Enterprise Design Thinking, Service Design, Lean UX, Agile and Modern Engineering practices.
• We will look to move quickly from the conceptual to the tangible, exploring innovative solutions, testing their viability using prototype/MVP.
• The intention is to move through this process in approx. 90 days at which point the project can be scaled and the core Incubation Hub team would shift focus to a new challenge.

Key elements of the role

• The Digital Apprentice will be a key member or the core Incubation Hub team that will support the team and process as needed.
• Assist in the planning, execution and documentation of user focused research including interviews, workshops, and secondary research.
• Helping with general co-ordination such as SCRUM ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Support with user testing, analysis, and validation.
• Creation and design of Incubation Hub documentation.
• Communicating clearly and effectively to teams and the broader business.
• You will ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.
• Work collaboratively across design, technical, and business teams in an agile and fast paced environment.

Skills & Experience

• Two or more years of experience in a related field – Design, Innovation, Digital, etc.
• Well organised and good attention to detail in order to plan pragmatically and document accurately.
• Confidence to participate in workshops for brainstorming, ideation, synthesis and mapping.
• Understanding of UX design or traditional best practices.
• The interpersonal skill to connect and learn from users through research.
• Experience in design software tools such as Mural, Adobe CS, Sketch, InVision, Figma, Keynote, research survey tools, etc. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
• Enterprise Design Thinking qualifications would be relevant and beneficial.
• Online design portfolio not necessary but would be welcome.
