Your Role and Responsibilities:
Software Development Managers are people managers in the product delivery team who hire, develop, and retain skilled teams that deliver agile containerised software offerings based on the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).

  • Build a diverse and inclusive high-performing cross-functional team made up of Architects, Squad Leads, Cloud Engineers, Designers, Support Engineers and more
  • Cultivate an agile culture focused on collaboration, continuous learning, and sharing of knowledge.
  • Communicate and align execution to IBM strategy and priorities.
  • Continuously expand essential business, industry, technology, and competitive knowledge in Kubernetes, OpenShift, containers and automation technologies (process mining, robotic process automation, workflow, etc.)
  • Drive effective reporting and analytics.
  • Provide regular coaching and guidance to team.
  • Champion an entrepreneurial and growth mindset.
  • Build relationships and work closely with other teams within the global project team and wider IBM Automation division.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Extensive experience of people management.
  • Extensive experience of managing software engineering teams
  • Extensive experience using agile practices
